If you take a look at various labels in the grocery store, you will find many things contain High Fructose Corn Syrup. I couldn't exactly even tell you what it is and why it has to be added. All I know is that I have to end up finding recipes of store bought items so I can control ingredients. I made a taco salad. Someone from my work made this for my birthday and she used a store bought western dressing which I knew I couldn't have, but I did to be nice and it looked yummy. So this week after only loosing 1 lb, I realized that my "cheats" make a difference. Even small ones here and there. I found a recipe and version of the taco salad I could make. Below is what I have to share:
Lettuce of your choice
Onion
Cherry tomatoes
Cheese (if you wish)
Tortilla chips (to top it off, if you wish)
Another idea is peppers
Taco Meat
Dressing
Olive Oil
Lemon Juice
Hot Sauce/Chili Sauce
Pepper
Salt
Cayenne Pepper
Chili Pepper or powder
Garlic
Taco Meat
Cook and season with Cayenne pepper and chili pepper or powder and hot sauce
Make sure to check labels as some hot sauces contain High Fructose Corn Syrup....
