Eating Habits

My eating habits have definitely changed. The night before I plan out what I will bring for lunch. It usually involves preparing a breakfast, lunch and snack.

I normally would just bring something for lunch and snack with whatever was laying around the office.

I have noticed that some of the things I pack to eat for work sound so yummy at the time and then I get to work and I don't even want that anymore. Like today, I brought a salad with turkey bacon, artichoke, peppers, onions and organic baby greens. I'm eating it now and all I can think about is that I'd rather be eating chicken and that I wish my appetite would hold off until I could get home and cook something else which is weird because last time I made this salad and brought it to work it hit the spot and I gobbled it all up.

I'm getting to the point that if I'm not in the mood for something I just don't want to eat. Last night I shredded up red cabbage and cut up some white onions and grilled that in some olive oil. I had that with an all natural beef hot dog. It was really good. I am going to do something similar tonight with peppers and a turkey sausage.

I'm starting to miss some of the foods I could eat. I am dying for some Quizno's and would love a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with pretzels or gram cracker. Or even a grilled cheese with tomato slices! I know, in due time. Until then, I am trying to come up with health alternatives that I will always be able to call upon when my 16 weeks is over. Tonight I'm also making pot roast for later in the week. I have new insight on how to prepare meals with healthy ingredients and to avoid unnecessary calories that don't affect the flavor.

To date, I believe my weight is at around 147 lbs. I'll see at the end of the week with the official number.

This month I will begin Yoga, I am excited to do that and I am hoping that and warm weather (hopefully coming soon) will give me motivation to start working out regularly again!
